It‘s an average of 3-5 hours of screen on time (SOT) that we usually get from our smartphones during a day. Most of that time we spend on social media or just checking our phone (approx 80-150 times a day!). Yes, it is ridiculous. We thought so, too. But, for some of us, it is for a fact, a daily routine. You don‘t even have to be a social media addict. Maybe it‘s part of your job. But, since it is so time-consuming you‘d better get something useful out of it.
Using social media as a tool or a service for an individual or business is old news. But it is still handy, though. With FeelSpot our approach is a bit different. Here is our perspective.

FeelSpot concept

People share a lot online these days. Their thoughts, political opinions, news, moments with their families and friends… Some of these posts are useful and some are completely irrelevant for a wider audience. We want to separate these posts and help users create value that is just for them, but also publish useful content that FeelSpot community can benefit from.

How does it work?

FeelSpot is an app that lets you mark the places you visited with emotions they evoked. The idea is to remember the spot that made you feel happy, excited or even sad or bored, for future reference. In the process, you can be creative. You get to express yourself with photos too. It‘s simple and easy to use. Snap a photo or import from the gallery, set a location and choose an emotion from the list to bind it with that place. Of course, the spot you created can be visible to you only, if you choose so. But it can be useful and interesting to the people that follow you, so you might keep that in mind.

How FeelSpot is more than another social network?

We, at FeelSpot, see it goes two ways. As a tool, one can use it to keep all the spots of interest in one place. Store your memories, attached to certain places on the map, as a unique reminder or private diary. As a service, one can create spots that are informative and relevant for other users. We will definitely support that kind of posts. The goal is to browse spots that people created knowing that they are fun but somewhat useful. Like how? For example, a person you follow created a spot with a photo of a nightclub that looks nice. But that person also marked that that place made him/her disappointed and angry because the service was awful. You’d want to avoid that place, right? Especially, if that person is trustworthy. If you create content that brings value to other users, you’ll see that your credibility is rising along with the number of your followers.

FeelSpot for businesses is coming soon

Businesses are welcome to join FeelSpot from the start, of course, but we do have extra features planned for this type of users. Businesses can reach people and grow their audience just like regular users. There is a catch though. No traditional advertisements. People have developed ad blindness anyway and they just spoil the online experience. Instead, businesses can contribute to the user experience by offering gift coupons to our users/ their audience. This way all benefit. Useful content is posted across the FeelSpot and that is what we go for. We plan to add this feature in future updates, so stay tuned.

We spend time online, a lot. What matters is how we spend it. With FeelSpot we encourage people to utilize that time by discovering new places, interesting places or avoiding places not worthy of their time. Go outside, explore. Rediscover the local. Share your thoughts and emotions about spots that made you stop for a second for any reason. Download the app and tell us what you think. Help us build an awesome community.
